River Report 11/20/22
Musky fishing has been picking up on both the James River and the New River. Air and water temperatures are dropping, and after a recent surge of rain the water levels have plateaued to normal. Consistent, small bouts of rain are heading our way, so I’d expect things to come up a little bit in the next week.
Trout fishing on the Jackson River and the Smith River has been good. Seeing lots of spawn behavior, so we’re doing our best to avoid redds. Streamers are working well, but nymphs still reign supreme with the lower, clear water.
